Great tuner replacement
Broke the high E machine head on my Jackson Performer (how? I have no idea). Since I blocked the tremolo on my Jackson I had no need for locking tuners. I checked the hole dimensions and basic measurements on the broken tuner and found these Gotohs were the right fit. I was a bit nervous and wanted to only order one tuner but due to Warmouth's minimum $$ order I ended up buying a set of 6. My fears were quickly gone when I mounted the first replacement tuner. It fit perfect and works far better than the stock tuners and required absolutely NO additional drilling. The tuner doesn't look exactly the same as the stock tuners but it's close enough; however, since I got a set of 6 and like the smooth tuning response, I'm about to replace the remaining 5 tuners. Hope that helps other perspective Gotoh customers.

I'm a believer
I've been playing since 1981 and loved Schaller tuners - I still do, btw. But I needed something fast, and I didn't feel the need to get locking tuners with a guitar with a locking nut. I ordered the Gotohs and they have been great.

I have never had slippage with these tuners and they have a great smooth feel. It's easy to dial in the note, even when you're at that place that's "soooo close" (you know that can be the hardest place to be with tuners).

If you have to have locking, get the Schallers, but otherwise, save the cash and get the Gotoh tuners.
