String spread is 2 1/16" (52.39mm). String to string spacing is 0.412" This is the same as the Fender American Standard Flat Mount. Mounting screws and adjustment wrench included. Trim ring sold separately.

2TEK bridges grew in popularity during the 90's with several companies using their bridges on their products (Hamer, Peavey, PRS and others) and several prominent artist endorsements (Lee Sklar, Michael Anthony, Vince Gill and several others). 2TEK designs their bridges so that each saddle sits on a long pedestal (or finger) that attaches to the base plate. This increases the mass and eliminates cross-talk between the strings. The result is a clean, punchy sound that makes the upgrade to a 2TEK Bridge well worth it. If you have a flat top body with a hard tail bridge (not a Stoptail bridge!), we can rout the body for you. Bodies routed for a tremolo bridge or carved top bodies cannot be re-routed.

Benefits of 2TEK Bridges

  • The long pedestals (or fingers) isolate the saddles from each other which eliminates cross-talk between strings.
  • More clarity in notes provided by less cross-talk.
  • More sustain.
  • Additional mass creates more punch.
  • 35% weight reduction since the original 2TEK Bridge design in the 90's
  • In some cases, the additional mass of the 2TEK Bridge can help reduce the number of dead spots in some vintage style guitars.
  • Machined out of solid brass.
  • Made in America.

2TEK Bridge Construction

2TEK has a unique bridge design that has the benefits of single saddle bridges with the added mass that leads to punchier, cleaner notes that most guitar and bass players are looking for.

  • Saddles placed on individual pedestals (fingers).
  • Pedestals span from the front of the guitar or bass body to the back plate, which is attached to the back of the body.
  • Mounting ring is mounted on the front of the guitar or bass body.
  • Machined out of solid brass.
  • Available only in bright nickel finish.

Kind of amazing, really...
Installed this bridge on a roasted-alder strat body (with Bill Lawrence/Wilde pickups and a padouk neck.) I expected something good for a bridge costing so much and requiring its own specially-routed body. I was not disappointed. The 2-Tek bridge is amazing. Beautiful, clean, ringing notes, with each string sounding distinct from the others. I'm afraid this guitar sounds so much better than some of the others I've built and bought, that I'm tempted to sell-off some of those and build a couple more 2-Tek instruments. Two things to be aware of: 1) this bridge is HEAVY and weighs nearly a full pound. Get a lightweight body -- hollow or chambered would be good -- something under 4 pounds -- or you may be sorry (with a sore shoulder!) 2) the installed bridge looks fine without the $30 surround ring. Be aware that if you do get the ring, you must have the pickguard cut for a Floyd Rose bridge -- a regular strat cut is too narrow. But anyway: Buy this bridge! You won't regret it!

Best bridge ever
I can't rave enough about this bridge. I play high gain rock and the 2Tek allows me to retain chord clarity unlike any other bridge I've ever played. It is hands down the best modification anyone can make to a guitar.

I've now owned almost 10 2Teks in my career. Highly recommended.

2tek in a tele
I built a thinline tele with the 2tek and stringing it up for the 1st time for neck setup knew I had something special. By the time I got to working on intonation I had A/B it with all my regulars. Very pleasing fat tones. Chording sounds bigger, and yes I would have to say I thought "piano like". Making plans for a strat with this bridge.

2Tek Delivers!
The 2Tek bridge is amazing. I have it on a PRS, a Strat and a Telecaster. All 3 guitars have incredible articulation, with virtually no crosstalk bertween the strings. The notes ring out like a piano. It truly lives up to the hype, and delivers everything it's supposed to, and then some - it's amazing for slide-work, where note separation is very important - no other bridge can do what this one does.

2Tek and a Telecaster = Voice of the Gods!
Having had 2 basses with this bridge (I am spoiled, and cant have a bass without it, now!) I was eager to try the guitar bridge out when I discovered them several years ago. It does the same the 6 string as it does with the 4 string: Bring out each note. Articulates everything. Rings out and chimes. This baby is no hype!

On top of that, I have to say that while this bridge is fantastic on every guitar type I have tried it on, it really seems to be on 'roids when you drop one into a Tele. Like PB&J, salt and pepper, bacon and eggs... the 2Tek bridge and the Telecaster are a match made in heaven! And just as I am spoiled with not being able to have a bass without a 2Tek, I now cant have a Tele without a 2Tek!

If you are a Tele player, you are silly dumb if you don't check out this bridge!
