This custom bridge has the appearance of the vintage style Strat® flat mount bridge and mounts in the vintage spec mounting holes. The saddles, however, are narrower with a string spread of 2-1/8" (54mm) which is better for standard Humbucker pole spacing. This string spacing is very similar to the "American Standard" Fender® bridges, although it is not a direct replacement for it. To use this bridge on a vintage spec body, the string through body holes must be enlarged from 1/8" to 3/16" (4.7mm) to allow the strings access to the narrower string holes in the base plate.
Notched string saddles help maintain precise string alignment.
