"Their music fueled the careers of The Temptations, The Supremes, The Miracles, the Four Tops,
Gladys Knight and The Pips, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Mary Wells and others from the time Motown
started in the late 1950s until it left Detroit for California in 1973. The Funk Brothers were the
musicians on more No. 1 hits than Elvis Presley, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys
put together."

Commentary from Ray Monette:
"I have always played guitars off the shelf my entire life and this is the first custom Warmoth guitar
that I've ever owned, I really can't say enough about the feel and sound of this instrument! I would
never think of going back to a stock guitar, also, the woods and finishes Ed selected are gorgeous.
I love the stainless steel frets too, they are like playing a brand new guitar that's already broken
in for you.
To sum it up; I love this guitar!! It has made me very happy; you folks at Warmoth are making beautiful
products.
Eddie Willis was playing a Gibson 335 and a Fender® Telecaster®, until he received his Warmoth custom from
Ed. He was practically in shock and said that he just stared at the guitar for hours. He loves it so much
that he is donating his other two axes to a museum in Nashville. He said that his Warmoth axe is the only
one he needs.
Bob Babbitt has purchased or been giving many basses over the years, when he received his custom Warmoth
bass from Ed he couldn't believe it! He has been in the studio with the bass and the other musicians, and
engineers say that it's the best sounding bass that they've ever heard, let alone the beauty of the
instrument.
Everywhere we tour as the Funk Brothers we get asked about the guitars because of the looks and the sound.
All three of us are extremely happy with these custom Warmoth guitars and we thank you for building such
a fine product."
These axes are baaaad!!!
