These are very nice modern tuners with all the bells and whistles! A thumb screw on the back pushes a pin up into the string hole for a positive lock on the string eliminating the need for the standard multiple string windings around the post. Strings don't slip and require much less "stretch time" before shows. Tuning accuracy is much improved over standard tuners especially on tremolo equipped guitars. A hardened steel cutter head automatically trims off the string end as you wind up - an exclusive Ned Steinberger design!
