This is my first Warmoth guitar, which was purchased unfinished. Required a little sanding to fit the neck, but that was not a big deal. Solid Black Korina Soloist body, solid Mahogany neck with black ebony fret board, 6105 frets, Jackson style neck. All black hardware: original Floyd Rose Tremolo, Planet Wave tuners, EMG 81-85 and SA pickups, which really make this guitar rock. The finish was achieved by using ebony stain on the Korina body with 17 coats of Polyurethane and neck is gloss black. The picture really does not show how beautiful this Ax is. Look forward to building my next Warmoth project.
Mike Keizer
My second Warmoth project, the "Golden Harp" this soloist has a very fast canary-wood wizard neck with ebony fretboard and stainless steel 6501 frets. The body is very light mahogany with a beautiful popcorn quilted maple top. Tuners are schaller mini-lockers. The trem is a Wilkinson. All hardware purchased from Warmoth. Pups are Fender Custom Shop Samarium Cobalt. Mike Keizer
My first Warmoth, this was purchased on EBay in parts from a luthier in Astoria, New York. He did the nice nitro-tobacco sunburst. I received the neck and body with hardware, a Schaller Floyd Rose etc. I selected Fender Custom Shop Samarium Cobalt pickups for the neck and middle and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates for the bridge. The neck is birdseye maple with an ebony fretboard. Frets are Dunlop 6105s. The body is light mahogany with the a very nicely bookmatched flame maple top. kyle marsh
Here is my first Warmoth guitar project and I thought it came out phenomenal... I can't keep my hands off it... Thanks Warmoth for making it possible for me to have a one off guitar to my specs... Mike Alleman
Carved top soloist, 1-pc mahogany body, 5A flame maple top, contoured heel, 3A flame maple neck & finger board, SS6100 frets, amber dye top, transparent brown bust over and back, clear neck, OFR w/brass big block upgrade, Schaller mini lockers, electrosocket, EMG 81/85 pups. Total AWESOMNESS!!! Thanks Warmoth!! Brock simmons
My first Warmoth guitar. For sure not my last.

Basswood body with Birdseye maple neck for that great 80s shred sound. The body has the 720 mod and contoured heel while the neck has the wizard back and 6100 frets. EMG 81 single hum and a original Floyd Rose with a recessed rout.

The fit and finish of this guitar blows my mind. This thing plays just as well if not better (ya better) than both my high end PRS guitars. And the tone????? it is straight out of a 80s hair metal album. (exactly what I was going for)

             Thanks a ton Warmoth!!!!!

Steven Sabatino
This is an Alder body with the 720 modified neck pocket. It's got a Jackson 16 inch radius neck with the Wizard back and SS 6115 frets. The pickups are Seymour Duncan (Alnico II Pro in the neck and Full Shred in the bridge). The tremolo is by Schaller (model 2000) I got from Europe. I used automotive urethane spray paints. I had the phoenix design made into a stencil which I placed on the body after spraying the front of the guitar red. You can see more pics and a video at http://www.medianmusic.com/PhoenixGuitar.html Dylan Bessette
-Showcase soloist body in Tulip stained with black saddle makers dye and finished with many coats of tung oil. Recessed face for Schaller/Floyd trem and neck plate contour. I also found the black pickup mounting rings to fatten up the look of the single coils.
-Warmoth thin profile maple neck with compound radius Pau Ferro fretboard, chopped down Jackson tilt headstock and AMAZING 40:1 ratio Steinberger gearless tuning machines that let me have a graph tech traditional style nut and change a string in 15 seconds!....I hate locking nuts.
-First year Fender Texas Special pickups from the custom shop! This is the third guitar I have put them in.
-500k pots, a Schaller E model megaswitch with custom switching options, Steinberger volume and tone knobs and of course a Schaller/Floyd licensed tremolo.
!!!Great job guys!!! Jeff Buchanan
This is my first Warmoth project. The body is alder and the satin finished neck is maple with a full scalloped ebony fretboard and 24 stainless steel frets. The Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge stays in perfect tune after full dive bombs. The hardware is all black. The Seymour Duncan SH-1 in the neck and TB-4 in the bridge are switched between series and parallel via two push-pull tone knobs. One dual concentric pot handles volume for each pickup independently. The knob layout was inspired by Les Paul. One and a half years in the making, mostly due to issues with soldering and many, many replaced pots. More pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeff355/ Connor Cook
This is my Warmoth Soloist. It's body is made from walnut and it has a Pro style All rosewood neck. The bridge is a Gotoh Floyd Rose and it has one Seymour Duncan JB model humbucking pickup. It currently has NO tone or volume control, so it's super shreddy when you want it be and super jazzy too, soo much untamed, raw pickup trebble!
What an incredible guitar. I bought every single piece of hardware including the switch, knobs, and screws from Warmoth in '03. Matt was extremely helpful in helping me design and choose all of the parts for this guitar. I had been looking for the perfect guitar for my taste and called Warmoth with all of the basic designs because nobody manufactured one that fit the bill. I find Warmoth makes the very best, highest quality instruments and uses the best parts and electronics. They made me a replacement neck for my 1983 Strat® style Kramer...again with stainless frets. It is absolutely perfect.

I will be purchasing another guitar very soon. A chambered LP with a recessed Tune O Matic and Seymours. It will be better than anything available in any store!

Thanks so much for your great work and all of the help.
A customer for life,

Joe Jonathan A
Thanks a million, Warmoth!
Alder soloist, mostly gold hardware including original Floyd, scalloped maple on maple neck with satin finish, YJM and Humbucker from Hell pickups. Very unique, brightsounding combination. Awesome! Andrew Johnson
Solid Makori body,25.5 scale, 24 fret rosewood with block pearl inlay, jumbo frets, EMG 85 and 81 v and t for both, my own designed body, and tung oil finish. John Nilsson
This is my first Warmoth, and I couldn't be happier with it! It's a Soloist Carved Top body made out of mahogany, and a 24 fret paddle neck also out of mahogany with an ebony fretboard.

It's a great playing and sounding axe with lots of tonal options, and like I said I really couldn't be happier with it! Also, big props on the customer service, I got several emails asking about how I wanted certain specs, so as to make sure everything would be exactly as I wanted it. Classy!

Thanks for everything, guys! ALEŠ SKOK
This is my first warmoth guitar.Body is made out
of basswood. My friend did airbrash.I have in bridge position Seymour Duncan JB,the middle and the neck pick ups are custom made by myself.
The neck is full scalloped Warmoth maple/maple with reverse Charvelstile headstock.
The guitar sounds and looks fantastic.Thanks. mark alexich
solid mahogony body with 4 aaaa quilt top in fire burst finish. Recessed gold tuneomatic w/ string thru. dimarzio super distortion fromlate 70's. push pull pot w/ treble cut, makes it sound like a neck pickup. koa neck w/ ebony board 24.75 scale w/24 frets wizard contour.gold locking tuners.plays even better than it looks !!!! Mikael Jurman
I found the solid Koa/Flamed Koa body in the Showcase and thought it just might be time to get to work with my Suhr Reb Beach project. My first thought was to buy the body and get the other pieces later but why wait? I finished the body with tungoil.

I ordered a Pau Ferro/Pau Ferro neck to my specs EVH neck profile and got a carpenter to reshape the headstock to my liking. The neck remains unfinished. It feels great to play and if I should want to reshape the neck profile I don't have to worry about messing up the finish.

Pickups are the EMGSL20 set which is 2 SLV's and an 85. Since the body already had 3 holes drilled for controls I had to fill the third with something, so I put an EMGEXG guitar expander in there.

It's great to play and sounds great too. Matthew Whitehead
This is a Mahogany/ Flame Maple, carved top Soloist body in Blue Dye Burst, with Quarter Sawn Maple/ pau Ferro Wizard neck. An Original Floyd Rose, DiMarzio D Sonic and Air Norton, Super Switch custom wiring an super low action finish it off nicely!
It has a very full, nicely balanced tone and doesn't suffer from the thin, harsh sound that Floyd Rose trems can have...the secret is in the wood. Top job Warmoth!
All custom ordered for my customer Matthew Whitehead, and arrived in time for Christmas too! That's him in the picture
Eric. Conor McSweeny
This is quite possibly the coolest guitar ever. Definitely the best 16th birthday present I could ever get. The feeling of pride in playing a guitar that I built is incredible. Eric Siu
Flame maple on Basswood body. Flame maple headstock veneer. Tobbaco burst finish. Quartersawn maple neck with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl dots. SS 6105 frets. DiMarzio Evolutions with a middle Blue Velvet. Original Floyd Rose, Eyeland Strap, go Washington State! Aubert Germain
Carved top turquoise soloist wild maple on mahogany with a birdeyes maple and rosewood neck with Tom Anderson pickups Roger Lynn
Here is a Soloist Guitar I made about four years back. Everything is Warmoth except the pickup and of course the Star Wars sticker. I'm 41 years old and started playing when I was 14 years old. I've played everything from a JC Penny speacial to a Yngwie J Malmsteen S-Style guitar in which I own and I don't lie when I say nothing even comes close to the Warmoth guitar. I have forgotten the wood it was made of and the neck. You can see the Eddie Van Halen look alike stripe's so I grew up in that era which was a great one by the way. Yes I even remember when Warmoth first came out and did ads through Guitar Magazine...but anyway I wish to say thanks to Warmoth and I will be making another one in the upcoming future until then keep up the good work......... Oyvind Storhaug
My first Warmoth project, I prefer to call it my Warmoth Pensa project. As a huge fan of Mark Knopfler and his music I wanted to build me a guitar similar to his favourite guitar, the PensaSuhr MK1.

And here it is, all Warmoth construction:

Soloist carved top, mahogany with AAA flame maple top, natural masked binding, tobacco burst finish.

Maple neck, with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, white binding, standard thin contour, 12 radius, 6105 frets, Pensa headstock.

Schaller Floyd Rose locking system, all hardware in gold.

EMG SA/SA/89 pickups

I'm very, very satisfied with the result, it looks, feels, sounds and plays fantastic! A huge success! Thank you Warmoth!

I'm looking foreward to my next Warmoth project...
Feb 2007 Guy Ohayon
Here is my first and finished Warmoth project:

After months of searching for a new guitar I couldn't find the perfect one for me. When I finally came to a decision of which parts I want on my guitar I went to Warmoth of curse and I ordered:

Jackson Soloist styled one piece flat top Alder boy
With the comfort contour and contoured heel and a battery box rout.
Warmoth Pro Construction flame maple Jackson neck
With Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and 24 frets.
Wizard back contour.
White neck binding.
6105 Nickel/Silver Frets.
Shark fin inlays.
Black Original Floyd Rose tremolo.
A single 9 volt battery box.
Two black dome knobs

And from Israel I bought the:

81, 89 and the SA EMG Pickups
The 89 is placed next to the bridge.
The SA is in the middle.
The 81 is placed next to the neck.
I bought some nice Grover tuners too.

The body finish was designed by me and was done here in Israel.
And also the neck finish was done here.

Although some people say nothing is perfect, this guitar came out perfect in all ways!
Great sound and great sustain and as you can see killer looks!

Thank you Warmoth for building this amazing guitar. Daren Orgill
Basswood body,Flame Koa top, solid Rosewood neck w/SS frets. Its modeled after the Reb Beach Suhr guitar. Ping trem love it! Stew Mac Golden Age overwound pickup. The body is finished with Tru Oil and the neck is raw. Its fantastic. I coudn't have done it without Spike. Thanks man! James Grant
This is my Frankenstein...

Warmoth Body: light mahogany with blue AAAAA Flame Maple Top, Loaded with EMG SA SA 85. This ba screams with super low action, a wonderful vintage Strat fixed bridge on a 1/8th mahogany plate for super super quiet response. The EMGs are also fixed with mahogany base plate over foam. There is absolutely no noise and very minimal resonance, so you really have to play this guitar.

Warmoth Neck: Dark Mahogany, Rosewood Fretboard, pearloid inlay, standard setup. I used my vintage made in Japan Ibanez tuner IIs, and a vintage Ibanez neckplate with serial number from an old parted out Roadstar II.

This great guitar has an incredibly warm tone, and begs for the blues although I force the issue with some serious Zakk style.

Warmoth is the way to go for custom guitars, and this is my second so far. Cant wait to build my third...LP? Jeff Wizniak
Dean Mancuso
I finished this a couple days ago and just had to post it in the Gallery. The explorer style neck and soloist style body arrived in February, a Christmas gift from my wife. She's the best! I began assembly, little by little, over the next several weeks. It was a very rewarding experience - the neck and body fit together beautifully! I worked at a relaxed and leisurely pace, just to enjoy the process, as I have been studying guitar construction for over a year now. I have to admit that your workmanship made my job easy - I had no trouble at all with this, even though it was my first such project. Neck set-up and intonation adjustments took another 3-4 weeks (I had to let the wood settle after each truss rod adjustment, etc.).

I still cannot believe how gorgeous this instrument is to look at! The body: 5A quilted maple over alder, cherry-bursted front and back, all chrome hardware, EMG 81 and 85 pickups, and Original Floyd Rose bridge. The neck: maple with quilted maple laminate on the headstock, Gotoh tuners, Floyd Rose locking nut, shark-fin inlays, and white binding, 6105 frets.

The only thing that rivals this guitar's beauty is its playability. The compound radius neck, the fret work, the weight, the tone from the wood, it is all just perfect. The compound radius neck is just amazing for string bending!

I'll definitely be in touch with you when I am ready to build my Tele. Until then, I'll be quite busy playing this one. And when I am not playing it, I'll be showing it off! Thank you!

Omar Camejo
Hi. Yeah I would like it to be posted on the gallery. I would like it to say:

Here's my first and not my last. I've made one before, buying parts from Ebay. Body, neck, tuners, etc. But nothing like this. I wanted to build a guitar with specs from my favorite guitarist Hammett, Slash and Wylde. I didn't want something heavy but still have great lows. Also the sustain in this thing last so long that I don't need a pedal to help me with it. The specs of this masterpiece:

Mahogany body
Flame maple neck
Ebony fretboard with no inlays
Jumbo frets
Original Floyd Rose bridge
N/85 M/SA B/81 EMG pickups
And a mini switch to put my 81 in any pickup configuration

Thanks again Warmoth and Jay for your great products and service. KEEP IT UP.

Can't be Happier ...

Tore 'T' Slattsveen
I just wanted to let you know how pleased I and my customer was with the result of our Warmoth Soloist project, consisting of warmoth parts only..! The guitar looks, feels, plays and sounds TERRIFIC... better than any $5000 custom-shop guitar of this style I have ever tried...! The quality of the warmoth parts are easily some of the best i have ever seen... materials, details, finish... all absolutely marvellous !

I enclose some pictures...

As you can see, the my customer wanted a "Jackson" decal on the headstock... This is actually unfair to the guitar, as I've never played a Jackson guitar that can even remotely be compared to this Warmoth guitar...!

Thanks again and best regards,
Garett Wolfe and Brian Lahiff
Background: This team of guitar playing duo came together to produce instruments that were unique in sound, feel, and style, built to the precise specifications of each player. Garett is the engineer behind the team, wielding the router, spray gun, buffing wheel, and soldering iron as necessary. Brian brings to the table years of guitar experience, and it is to his taste that the setup is made to please.

Guitar 1: The first we undertook was a soloist body and pro neck.

BODY:
From Warmoth: Alder backed, flat-top soloist body with 5A quilted maple top. Recess routed for Floyd-Rose, with pearloid binding, and dual humbucker orientation. Custom work: The body was finished with a black back and blue 3D finish on top. The finish was done with very high contrast from almost black to nearly clear to accentuate the tight quilt pattern in this top. The entire body was then cleared with nitrocellulose lacquer and sanded and polished to a mirror gloss.

NECK:
From Warmoth: Maple neck with Warmoth headstock. Standard thin profile. Ebony fretboard with oval inlays. Quilted headstock veneer. Stainless fret wire. Custom work: Headstock was finished in similar fashion to body, only left slightly darker. Back and sides of the headstock were stained black, as well as the heel, and faded into the natural wood for the back of the neck's playing surface. The headstock was cleared and polished, and the neck was finished with multiple applications of tung oil.

HARDWARE:
Floyd-Rose speedloader style floating tremolo, EMG-HZ pickups, Sperzel locking tuners, and Ernieball strings.

Guitar 2: A 7S body and Super-7 neck were the basis for the second project.

BODY:
From Warmoth: 7S body, swamp ash with quilted maple top. Recess routed Floyd-Rose, and dual humbuckers. Custom work: For this guitar, a masking technique was used to create a "faux pickguard" look. The tribal design was sketched out to fit the basic outline of a pick guard and lacquer was sprayed so that subsequent staining would not soak into the wood. The rest of the body was then stained, black on the back and a green 3D on the front. When cleared and sanded, the look was flawless and the desired effect achieved with great satisfaction. Pictures simply can not do justice.

NECK:
From Warmoth: Super-7 neck with Warmoth headstock, quilted maple veneer, ebony fingerboard with no face dots, gold fretwire, and standard thin profile. Custom work: Headstock was finished in similar manner to body and cleared coated. A brass name plaque was inlaid at the 12th fret. The 17th-24th frets were scalloped on an angle, descending in height. This not only helps playability, but also provided a unique visual subtlety.

HARDWARE:
Double-locking Floyd-Rose style floating tremolo, Schaller mini locking tuners, Dimarzio Blaze-7 pickups, and Ernieball strings.

General notes: All setup and wiring was done by the builders in an effort to achieve ideal playability based on each player's standards, style, and taste.

Thanks: Special thanks to Warmoth, never have we seen guitars that went together so easily, sound so beautiful, and look so stunning to the eye. Your work is simply amazing. It's hard to believe that for the money invested, the result is worth tenfold. A third guitar is already on order, and a forth is currently in the conceptual design phase. Thanks again and keep up your high standards and great customer-oriented business!

John Dajos
Before I start raving about this guitar, I'd like to extend a major thank you to Gregg in Sales for going the extra mile, twice, allowing me to get this project finished quickly.

This is my third Warmoth guitar. The body is black korina, finished with Tru Oil. It's got a Fernandes Sustainer, a Seymour Duncan EVH bridge pickup screwed directly into the body, and an Original Floyd Rose. The neck is white korina, with an ebony board, trapezoid inlays, Fat back contour, and reverse Stratocaster headstock.

A total custom custom guitar, a total tone monster. As I said earlier, I've now got three Warmoth guitars. They are all different, but each one does what it does perfectly. I can not fathom why anyone would waste their money on a stock, production model guitar, when they could get a superior, custom-made, one of a kind instrument.

Once again, thank you Warmoth.

Trebor Ladres
Albert Collins once wrote: "Love can be found anywhere (even in a guitar)." That is so true because I really am in love with my new black Warmoth guitar.

The body is a flat top Soloist made from swamp ash. It has the contour heel and recessed routing for the tremolo. The tummy cut and forearm cut are standard.
The maple neck is a Jackson Warmoth "Pro" with 24 frets. I have the Wizard back contour and a jet black ebony fretboard with the 6150 nickel/silver frets. I had the black dot inlays added but they are very inconspicuous.
Original Floyd Rose tremolo system.
Plane Waves Auto Trim tuners.
Bill Lawrence pickups: L-280S single coils and L-500L humbucker.
Just one volume knob with .001uf capacitor and a 5 way selector switch.
The finish is high gloss black.

This guitar sounds - plays - and looks great! The action is perfect and the Bill Lawrence pickups are excellent. The humbucker cooks and the unbelievably quiet single coils have exactly the sound I wanted. The .001uf capacitor gives a little high end boost when you roll off the volume. Steve Samons the guitar luthier at Guitar Center in Tampa did a wonderful job putting this guitar together and setting it up. I am very grateful to him and the great staff at Warmoth. I really love this guitar.

John Perlini
Full scallope, no fret dots needed,.Plasticote Trunk Flek paint, good durable finish, something simple. Used to trigger drum samples. Wonderful unit.

Bill Brizzee
As you can see the guitar turned out great.

Thanks again Warmoth!,

Shane Jones
Here is my Warmoth soloist carved top body with a flame maple finish. The picture does not do the finish justice, it looks amazing in person. I am very pleased with the construction and finish of this left handed guitar. It truly is a great instrument. I would like to thank everyone at Warmoth who helped build this guitar to my exact specs. I highly recommend Warmoth to anyone looking for an extremely high quality instrument.

Simon Garfield
Well, after 15yrs of fanatically playing a couple of JEMs, I wanted an "alternative" sound.... but on something that felt familiar. Much searching never found me a commercially available solution.

This Soloist body is quilted maple on mahogany with contoured heel, and the neck is ebony on raw padouk (Wizard profile). I took a chance with the padouk, as I'd not seen or played one before, but am now a convert - tone, feel and sustain beats both my JEMs, and my Gibson LP, even in passive mode ? very even throughout the entire scale. Active mode gives an effortless "hi-wattage" sound like it's coming through a 400w back line.

The tuners are Planet Waves auto-trims, and the frets are stainless 6105.
Schaller Floyd Rose Bridge/Nut
Bridge Pickup is an X2N Power Plus
Neck Pickup is a Sustainiac driver.

Control pots are - Volume with series/parallel for the X2N, Tone with on/off for Sustainiac, Sustainiac drive and mode.

The result - well, any fingerprints are due to the fact that I can't put it down, sorry. I just have to say thank you for enabling me to create that which I couldn't find over the counter - but not so happy that such a huge investment in previous guitars has now become redundant (I might keep one JEM for contrast)!!!

Alex
Here's the finished product. When the parts arrived a little more than a month ago, I was amazed at how good everything looked. The 5A quilt top was fantastic (and looked a lot nicer than the 5A quilt top on a production guitar I own), but it was the 3A flame on the neck and fretboard that blew me away. Absolutely incredible looking, and totally worth the extra couple bucks.

I finally picked up the assembled guitar today (I realized I was in way over my head and gave it to a local luthier, so I wouldn't destroy it), and once I got it home I couldn't stop playing it. Granted, that's the way it is with most new guitars, but this felt good right away and didn't stop feeling good. The compound radius (something I've never had) really is a great concept.

The bottom line is, for the price I paid I could've bought three Korean mass-production guitars with a nice brand name on them. Instead, I got a top quality guitar that has EVERY feature I want in a guitar, and that not every other person has. If I can help it, I will never buy a production guitar again. You guys absolutely have a customer for life, and I'm already planning the next one (damn you!).

Everything came from Warmoth, with the exception of the pickups, the abalone-topped volume knob, and the 1 Meg ohm volume pot. For the gearheads, here are the specs:

Soloist mahogany body with 5A quilt maple top. Single volume control and 3-way blade pickup switch.
24.75" Strat-head compound radius neck in 3A flame, with abalone dot inlays. 1 5/8" nut width. Dunlop 6100 "shredder frets" (as Dan put it)
Schaller Floyd Rose, Gotoh tuners, Schaller strap locks - everything in gold.
DiMarzio pickups - Super 3 in the bridge, ProTrack in the neck
Single volume control and a 3-way blade pickup switch.

I also opted for the contoured heel, which was a smart idea. Definitely much more comfortable higher up on the neck.

All in all, this was absolutely worth it. Thanks very much to Dan - he was awesome. I look forward to dealing with Warmoth again.

Bill Stevens
Here is my Soloist that I had made in 1997. It has an Explorer reverse headstock made from maple with 6100 size fret wire. The body is alder with carbon fiber electronics cover on the back that looks awsome. The pick up is an EMG 81. The bridge is schaller non trem from Warmoth. I cut the body out behind the neck to resemble the old Alvarez "Scoop" electric guitar. I get a lot of compliments on it. Yes it stays in tune with the body cut away like this, no problem, no give whatsoever. I also have a $3500.00 custom ESP M1 and guess what? My Warmoth is by far my favorite, I am planning my next purchase from Warmoth right now. For the money and craftmanship that comes along with it, you can not beat it period. If your thinking of getting one, your done thinking, get it!!!
Jacques Soucy
Here's my first Warmoth project.I had a bunch of parts and that georgous swamp ash body was just the missing piece of the puzzle. Clear polyurethane, licensed floyd rose, carvin m22sd and epiphone explorer neck(minimalistic). It's a dream guitar and I can't wait to build my next with all parts from you guys!!! Thanks,
Jon Kon
This is my finished custom made guitar. It is a warmoth solid, alder, soloist body connected to a maple neck with ebony fretboard, grover tuners, and 6105 Frets. The bridge is an original floyd rose strung with .009 D'Addario strings. The pickups are Dimarzio super distortion in the bridge and Dimarzio air norton in the neck. The controls are 1 volumne, 1 tone, coil tap for each pickup, and a 3 way selector switch. I would personally like to thank Warmoth and all its employees for top notch service and products. I can't tell you how happy i am with the quality and look of my guitar. Please keep up the tradition! Brian Daughery
This is a flamed maple top on alder soloist body with tigers eye dye finish , the pic really doesnt do it justice but its the best one of the batch . The neck is a mahogany kws with rosewood fingerboard , and plays like a dream . The pickup is a seymour duncan distortion trembucker from warmoth also . the sound of the alder body and mahogany neck is very fat and has lots of sustain great for old sabbath etc. this is the only neck and body I have ordered with a factory finish on them i usually play unfinished rosewood necks, but I was very impressed with the quality of the finish both on the neck and body flawless.

Scott Moller
To Everyone at Warmoth,

THANK YOU for building such beautiful art. Here is a shot of my Warmoth creation, which started with a Swamp Ash/Quilt Maple carved top Soloist body from your Showcase, then continued with a great playing Palisander Rosewood neck with Ebony fretboard, custom made by your artisans. I got the Wizard profile and 6105 frets, which feels fantastic, and the beautiful abalone inlays are amazing.
Ganthet Beck
This is my favorite guitar!

Its incredibly light for a one-piece mahogany body with a quilt maple top (AAAAA I believe) with birds-eye maple fingerboard and reverse-headstock style neck. Its got Sperzel tuners and a Strat-style fixed bridge which strings through the body. A simple Seymour-Duncan Full Shred with coil spilt (push-pull volume control) in the bridge position gives me lots of good tone for rhythm work, which is mostly what I use this guitar for. I did a Danish Oil finish on the body and the neck. Please note that although Warmoth discourages using only an oil finish for the neck, the neck is still in superb condition even after 15 years. That speaks to the quality of its construction, I think :)

I currently have orders for two more guitars with Warmoth parts and I can't wait to get my greedy little hands on them!!

Jason Santy
This is my second warmouth project, and I am very pleased how it came out. The guys at Warmoth were very cool in helping me choose the woods and explaing to me what they thought would help my idea look best in reality, and they were right. I had the basic idea in my head and they helped me turn it into a real guitar. This thing play smoother than any guitar I've ever owned and as you can see, looks like a work of art. It has the following features:

Soloist mahogany body
string thru hardtail
flat top spalted maple cap
Black body binding
Neck pocket contour
Birdseye maple - Birdseye maple 24.75 scale neck - 22 medium jumbo 6130 frets
Clear Coat neck & body (no tints, dyes, or coloring)
EMG 85/60
Hipshot bridge
Sperzel tuners
Special thanks to Bill Cook for his help getting this order together!!

Thanks,

Stefano Castiglioni
This is my 1st warmoth project: all parts except pickups (2 JYM and 1 HS3) come from warmoth. Body: soloist type, dye color, mahogany/maple. neck: full scalloped maple/maple with large headstock. What I have to say: This guitar looks and sounds fantastic... Everything to the minimum particular is perfect. I've other hand made italian guitars but they're not so good.

Thanks to all stuff at warmoth!

Gabor Benkoe
This is a Soloist non tremolo body, with a Charvel maple neck, Di Marzio Paf Pro and Fast Track pickups. Thank you for this Guitar. I love it.
Jason Elliott
This is a Warmoth soloist body painted by Dan Lawerence. The lightning bolts have a pearlescant white/silver/purple paint which flares up under stage lightning or when you rotate the body. The fog and clouds also appear to move and flare when roatated under light. The neck is a reverse headstock Warmoth birdseye fretboard with a quilted birdseye back and abalone dots. I topped it off with a recessed Schaller Floyd and Seymour Duncan custom under the painted cover. Warmoth is hands down the best builder of custom parts ever. I'll post my quilted top Warmoth Firebird when it's completed. Keep up the excellent work.

John Miller
Here is my Guitar I just finished. It has a solid Ash body with a Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon pickup. It has a Warmoth Birdseye maple neck with a Rosewood Fretboard. This neck is about the best I have ever played on. With the locking Sperzel tuners that hardly ever go out of tune. I did the paint job myself. Thank you guys for Everything.

Rob Craig
Here is my first Warmoth guitar. It has an oil finished mahogany hardtail Soloist body. The guitar was inspired by the plain Satriani mahogany body guitar he had with Ibanez some years ago. The neck is a standard thin, Warmoth construction and sports Sperzel locking tuners. It currently has a Pearly Gates in the bridge and a Dimarzio Evolution in the neck, but that might change in the future. Thanks to Brian Goode for assistance in this endeavor.

Roberto Vaccari
Thank you Warmoth for the best guitar I have ever owned and played. This is an all Warmoth construction neck, body and finish. The body is a maple soloist with 5A quilted maple top. It is finished in a cherry burst. The neck is made from maple and is scalloped, finished in satin. I never thought it would turn out as beautiful as it did. All the pieces fit perfectly. The guitar tech who put it together for me did it in a few hours, no problems. He also commented to me about how much he likes Warmoth products. Everyone at the guitar shop who saw it commented on it's beauty. As far as playing, it is by far the best guitar I have ever played. I think I will stop buying all those other famous brands and stick to Warmoth. I'm very happy with the workmanship. Thanks again. For all you guitarist who never thought about playing a scalloped neck, do it! I don't know why more players don't play them.

Scott Minchk
I "made" this guitar (with much help from Chuck Johnson) back in 1987-1988. It took me months to finish it. I was a bit into the whole Steve Vai "monkey-grip" thing so I made my own out of a Warmoth Basswood Soloist style body. The sanding took me almost a month working in my spare time. I took out quite a bit of wood from the bottom "horn" so I could reach the 24th fret with my thumb if I wanted. The neck is a 24 fret Warmoth all Birdseye maple, no fret markers which turned out to be tougher to play on than I thought it would be! It has a Schaller black "Floyd", two Tom Anderson pickups and black Schaller tuners. The paintjob was done by spraying different colors of paint into a 3/4 full 55 gallon drum (water). We'd spray a few colors then dip the guitar and spin in on the way out, rinse and repeat about 15 times. Then we sanded the body to let the different colors come out, and hit it with a clear polyurethane on top. Thanks.

Yosuke Maeda
My first Warmoth project. This is a Warmoth Soloist Carved Top Body and neck with EMG pickups, Wilkinson trem. Looks, sounds, and plays fantastic! Thank you Warmoth.

Randy All
The body is swamp ash with 2 coats of linseed oil only. No finish. The neck is birdseye maple with a satin finish. Hardware includes an original Floyd Rose tremolo, Seymour Duncan Distortion Trembucker at the bridge, Seymour Duncan quarter pound single coil at the neck, and Gotoh tuners. The oiled body without finish makes for a beautiful tone. Very raw. The action set up quickly and easily. This is without a doubt my favorite guitar along with the one that I built about 2 months ago which is very similar. I have a $2600 hand-made custom Ibanez that takes a back seat to these two home made guitars. Thanks for the great quality materials and workmanship!!!

Gabor Benkoe
This is a Soloist body with a custom made neck (buit by Thorsten Schmitz) with ebony fretboard. Gotoh Floyd Rose tremolo, DiMarzio Evolution and Fast track pick ups. Thanks Everybody for this Lady

John Walrath
This is one bad mother.

The body and neck were both made by Warmoth. The body wood is mahogany with a maple veneer. The neck is AAA birdseye maple with a wizard I neck profile. Sperzel tuners keep this beast in tune, and Bareknuckle Warpig Pickups dish out bone crushing distortion.
I would like to thank Steve Siciliano for putting the guitar together. Kyle Jones
Well here is my 2nd warmoth project. It's a soloist design made out of basswood with a quilted maple top and it could not sound any better without the addition of the DiMarzio Tone Zone (F-Spaced) in the bridge and DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck. Those pickups with the wood combination really bring out the best of each other. The controls are pretty simple. 1 Volume and 1 3-way toggle switch. I positioned the toggle switch so that it would go back and forth, not up and down like most guitars. I did this so that I wouldn’t play the guessing game on which pickup I was playing with. The addition of the non-recessed chrome original floyd with the D-tuna really brings this guitar to life.

Some or most of you probably wont recognize the neck or where it came from. That’s because its not a warmoth neck. When I went looking for the neck, I wanted something that sounded good, felt good and played good. I also wanted a neck that looked similar to the Kramer/Music Yo 1984 Reissue guitar. Thankfully, I found that neck. It has a 12" radius on the fretboard, medium jumbo frets, R2 Locking nut, chrome schaller tuners and it is probably the most comfortable neck I have ever played.

Painting this guitar proved to be more of a challenge than I thought. Little did I know that blue stain would also stain my fingers so for about a week, it looked like I had just killed a bunch of smurfs with my with fingers. But im really happy with the way the blue stain turned out on the maple top but I think next time I order a body with a quilted maple top, ill have warmoth do it.

My inspiration for this guitar came from an obvious source. EVH. I wanted the sound and feel of his EBMM and Wolfgang guitars but the look of his Kramer guitars. Best of both worlds! I thought it was a pretty clever idea if I do say so myself.
