CNC Programmer

Help develop leading edge manufacturing methods to produce electric guitar parts using 3, 4, and 5 axis mills as well as a 3 axis lathe. All programming happens in the CAD/CAM office, not on the shop floor. There are 11 CNC machines churning out parts and pieces on our shop floor with thousands of part variations woven into parametric programs selected and defined at the machine control for production.

Develop guitar parts from concept exploration to production phase, design and build appropriate fixtures, run prototypes, and document programs and processes for the production phase. Apply most current technology towards quick and efficient manufacturing.

Skills that we're looking for:
  • Experience programming in Mastercam X9 or above and Rhino
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of parametric programming techniques
  • Experience in documenting of new products and procedures
  • Experience in designing and making jigs and fixtures
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems on the control of the machines and on the computer
  • Ability to read calipers and other measuring tools
  • Must have an enthusiasm for electric guitars
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Innovative with a desire to fully exploit CNC in manufacturing
Preferred Skills include:
  • Formal training and/or a graduate of a certified technical school
  • Basic manual machining (mill/lathe)
  • 3D Modeling

Manufacturing

We train women and men, with good hand skills to do detail work on replacement guitar and bass parts in our wood shops.

Duties include:
  • Operation of a variety of electric sanders, other electric tools and hand tools for detailed woodwork.
  • Ensure health & safety of yourself and others by following policies, procedures and act in a safe manner at all times.
  • Performance evaluation is based on both quality and efficiency – working at a quick pace while maintaining superior quality standards.
  • Ensure that all blends, rounds, sharp points, and piece-specific shapes are as they should be, and remain as they are intended. This includes all neck back, and peghead shapes.
  • Developing an understanding of the critical shapes of our parts, and how they fit with other guitar or bass parts.
Requirements:
  • Hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for fine detail sanding
  • Good vision to include close vision & depth perception
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically fit to be able to work standing for an 8 hour period and lift and carry 20 pounds or more
  • Able to work quickly
  • Able to bend, reach and twist upper and lower body
  • Conscientious of safety (safety equipment provided)
  • Tolerant of a dusty environment, wood preservers, solvents
  • Positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Dependable

Paint Buffer/Sander

Sand and buff painted guitar bodies and necks. Prepare parts for finish, seal, dye, repair and clean-up work, final manual cleaning, and organize product. Cross-train to other duties within the Paint department as needed by the department.

Duties include:
  • Operate a buffing wheel and hand polish guitar necks and guitar bodies.
  • Operate an electric and pneumatic sander and hand sand to prep surfaces for a variety of finishes.
  • Inspect necks and bodies to be painted for repair, prepping and/or painting defects.
  • Performance evaluation is based on both quality and efficiency – working at a quick pace while maintaining superior quality standards.
  • Ensure health & safety of yourself and others by following policies, procedures and act in a safe manner at all times.
Requirements:
  • Hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for fine detail sanding
  • Good vision to include close and distance vision, depth perception, ability to focus and be able to distinguish color hues in various lighting
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically fit to be able to work standing for an 8 hour period and lift and carry 20 pounds or more
  • Able to work quickly
  • Able to bend, reach and twist upper and lower body

Customer Service Representative

Warmoth Guitar Products provides guitar and bass replacement parts to customers in the US and around the world. Most customers order from our website, but many have questions or place orders that require assistance from us. The Customer Service team members need to be an all-around guitar specialist who will ensure our customers get a positive experience every time they contact us. Our team interacts over the phone and through email with customers and the ideal candidate thrives on helping musicians of all skill levels and from all corners of the world to achieve maximum guitar satisfaction. You will be expected to learn a lot more about electric guitars and basses and to become an expert resource for our customers.

Customer service skills required:
  • 2+ years Customer Service experience preferably with call-center experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled in professional email and phone etiquette
  • Positive attitude towards customer service and helping musicians of all skill levels
  • Organized with great attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and can operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Typing at least 35 wpm and ten-key by touch
  • Strong PC, Internet and MS Office Suite skills
  • Team oriented with a high level of integrity and professionalism

Guitar experience required:
  • Experienced guitar player and/or bass player
  • Guitar Tech experience (set-up, assembly, repair, replace, mods, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of guitar/bass anatomy
  • Familiar with many different guitar manufacturers and models
