The Vintage Single-Style Truss Rod
The adjustment nut on Vintage necks is accessible at the heel. To adjust the truss rod the neck must be removed.
The Vintage neck uses a single truss rod design. The rod is held within a concave channel and anchored to the wood at each end. As the adjustment nut is tightened the neck wood absorbs both the backward force that counteracts the pull of the guitar strings and the inward compression exerted by the rod. Necks that use a single-rod design typically need seasonal adjustment, and are slightly more susceptible to warping over time than double-rod designs.
The Vintage neck is the only Warmoth neck with an available 7-1/4" fretboard radius. It is available in 25-1/2" scale only.
*One-piece Maple necks have a Walnut skunk stripe. Mixed-wood two piece necks (e.g. Maple and Rosewood) do not have a skunk stripe.
