Fender® pioneered the detachable neck concept 60 some years ago. To this day, they continue to use the same basic dimensions on most of their offerings. Many other manufacturers have adopted these same dimensions into some of their own products (Kramer, ESP, Ibanez, Schecter, etc.). Warmoth has held to these Fender® dimensions for most of our product offerings, (exceptions noted).

Angled Neck Pockets
For certain bridges the floor of a neck pocket needs be angled for best set up and string action. A large angle is needed for Tune-o-matic, Gotoh 510 and Schaller 456 style bridges and a small angle for non-recessed Floyd Rose® style tremolos. This helps eliminate the need for shims and provides a cleaner assembly.
