Natural Masked Binding
Masked, mock or natural binding is a paint process which offers the appearance of binding but is really only the underlying wood left unpainted or unstained. The process is to mask off the edges of the top wood, then spray or dye the body. The mask is then removed before shooting the clear coats. A dark color for the body gives the most contrast.
NOTE: Only available for bodies with Laminate Tops.

Drop Top Binding
Because forearm contours are a standard feature on Strat® bodies, the style of binding work they require is referred to as "Drop Top" Binding. This is one of the more difficult binding styles to master and that’s why you seldom see it offered by other body builders. Warmoth has perfected the process and proudly offers this outstanding option on Strat® and Jbass® bodies.
To further enhance the traditional binding appearance, we slightly sharpened the edge radius from the standard Strat® 1/2" to a 3/8" radius. Choose from the various binding materials we offer and really make your custom body stand out!
NOTE: Vinyl/Celluloid binding cannot be applied to in stock Showcase bodies. A laminated top wood is required for bodies receiving binding.

Black Accent Line
An Accent Line is another way to add a slick, custom accent to your body. We create the Accent Line by adding a contrasting colored laminate between the top wood and the core wood. The stripe is about 0.030" thick. We offer a black stripe made of a fiber, or a white stripe which is made of Maple.
