Tremolo Bridges
A tremolo bridge is a floating bridge that pivots forward and back to create tremolo sounds when the tremolo bar is pushed forward and back.
Hardtail Bridges
A hardtail bridge is also called a fixed bridge and is mounted directly to a body in a fixed position.
Stud Install
Some bridges are mounted to a body using studs and inserts that typically come with your bridge purchase. The inserts need to be press fit into the bridge holes drilled in the body, then the bridge studs are screwed into the inserts. The bridge then pivots or mounts directly onto these studs.
Our Stud Install service means we press fit the inserts nice and straight into your raw or finished body. We even sandwich a ground wire in between the insert and the body wood for the bridges that typically ground to the strings in this way, and rout that wire to the control cavity for you to use when it comes time to wire up!
Important! - This service does not include the stud and insert hardware. You have to either mail us the studs and inserts that you already have, or if you are purchasing a bridge also on this same order then choose the option to have us use those studs and inserts from that bridge. We do sell Floyd style and Wilkinson style studs and inserts separately so refer to them as the bridge if they are being purchased on this order to use for the stud install.
