Recessed Tremolo Bridge Routs
Recessing the bridge allows it to be mounted low in the face of the guitar and allows you to pull up on the bar to raise the pitch.

This rout fits the popular Wilkinson Tremolo, a dual pivot-point, low profile bridge with individually adjustable string saddles.

This rout increases the depth under the back end of the bridge only, allowing a greater range of motion when pulling up on the bar. It does not encompass the entire tremolo unit, or allow it to be recessed into the body. The tremolo unit must be set up at the normal height.

Jazzmaster Bridge Rout
Kahler Tremolo Bridge Rout
The Kahler tremolo bridge does not require a tremolo cavity rout from the back. Warmoth does not sell this bridge though we can rout for it by special order.
Kahler Flat Mount tremolo
We do not drill the mounting holes.
Rout not available on Tele® Deluxe bodies. Rout interferes with pickguard.
Gibson® Type Bridge Mounting
These bridges require 1.5 - 2 degree angled neck pocket.
Insert holes are drilled .430" (11mm) diameter to match these inserts. Notice that the bass side of the
Tune-o-Matic is pulled back to accommodate intonation setting.
Insert holes are drilled .421" (11mm) diameter.
Flat Mount / Hardtail Bridge Routs
(Ground wire holes drilled to all Strat® hardtail bridges). The back side of these "vintage bridge" bodies are drilled 5/16" for the string anchor ferrules.
Vintage Style Strat® - String through holes only
For other odd hardtail bridges when the string holes are in the standard Strat® position. By aligning on these, you may drill mounting holes to mate with your bridge.

The mounting holes are identical to the vintage flat mount bridge, but the string through holes are drilled larger.
Vintage-Style Tele®
This pattern fits the three vintage-style Tele® bridges that Warmoth sells, as well as the modern-style standard and humbucker Tele® bridges we sell. It will also fit most other vintage-style "ash tray" Tele® bridges, but as always: you must measure to be sure.
