Guitar Bridge Routing Options


Tremolo Bridge Routings
6-Hole Vintage tremolo:
Mounting screw hole diameter: 1/8", (.125"), (3.18 mm)
American Standard Fender tremolo:
Drilled for .375" (9.53 mm) diameter insert

Wilkinson tremolo (by Gotoh):
Drilled for .382" (9.70 mm) diameter insert

Floyd Rose style tremolos:
Drilled for .390" (9.91 mm) diameter insert. Angled neck pocket recommended.

Recessed Tremolo Bridge Routings

Recessing the bridge allows it to be mounted low in the face of the guitar and allows you to pull up on the bar to raise the pitch.
Wilkinson tremolo (by Gotoh) recessed:
Drilled for .382" (9.70 mm) diameter insert

Original Floyd Rose recessed:

All the above tremolo bridge routs come with the same tremolo spring cavity rout in the back of the guitar.

Kahler Tremolo Bridge Rout

The Kahler tremolo bridge does not require a tremolo cavity rout from the back. Warmoth does not sell this bridge though we can rout for it by special order.

Gibson® Type Bridge Mounting

These bridges require 1.5 - 2 degree angled neck pocket.
Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Tail Piece (by Gotoh): Insert holes are drilled .430" (10.92 mm) diameter to match these inserts. Notice that the bass side of the Tune-o-Matic is pulled back to accommodate intonation setting.
 
Gotoh 510 Bridge: Insert holes are drilled .421" (10.69 mm) diameter.
 
Schaller 456 Fine Tuning Bridge: Insert holes are drilled .421" (10.69 mm) diameter.
 

Recessed Tune-O-Matic with
String-Through Body Mounting
On Flat Top bodies only we offer a recessed rout for our Gotoh Tune-O-Matic or TonePros Tune-O-Matic with a choice of 3 string-through patterns for $15. The strings go through our top-string-through ferrules and anchor in our standard guitar string ferrules in the back of the body.

Due to the bridge recess, a neck pocket angle is not required.

Flat Mount / Hardtail Bridge Routings

(Ground wire holes drilled to all Strat® hardtail bridges). The back side of these "vintage bridge" bodies are drilled 5/16" for the string anchor ferrules.

Vintage Style Strat®
String through holes only.
For other odd hardtail bridges when the string holes are in the standard Strat® position. By aligning on these, you may drill mounting holes to mate with your bridge.

American Standard Strat®
We can rout for the Fender® American Standard Strat® Flatmount though we do not sell this bridge.

Narrow Spaced Strat®
Flat Mount Bridge Rout
The mounting holes are identical to the vintage bridge, but the string through holes are drilled larger.

Vintage Tele®
This pattern matches the vintage "ash tray" style bridge as well as our Vintage Tele Bridge and Gotoh brand replacements, (both standard and humbucker versions).
