Precision Chambers are routed down each side of the body leaving a 4-1/4" wide center core. The weight reduction is approximately 20%.
The weight balance remains very good. Light weight machine heads compliment this bass. Features the same deep forearm and tummy contours as the solid models!
Because of how we build these, a laminate wood top is necessary.
Drop Top Binding
Special Drop Top binding available on Strat® and J Bass® bodies only. That's right, the binding follows the forearm contour and
looks super custom! Expect a slightly sharper radius on the body top to accommodate the traditional binding aesthetics and
because of how we build these, you must have a laminate top on your body.

When beautiful woods are used on a body it is often desirable to cut the control cavity from the back. This way there is no
need to cover the beautiful wood with a pickguard. This is called "Rear Routing" and it allows maximum exposure of the face wood.
This large rear rout
cavity provides plenty of room for controls, electronics and batteries. There is no extra charge to have any or all the control
holes cut in their standard positions (shown above).
All rear routed bodies are supplied with a recessed cover plate and mounting screws.
